Knife Safety and Legal Notice
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Our blades are handmade, real and razor sharp. Please read this notice before you buy and before you use or display your piece.
1. Adults only
We only sell to customers aged 18 or over. By placing an order you confirm you are at least 18. The courier may ask for proof of age or a signature on delivery, and we may cancel any order if we believe the buyer is under 18.
2. Know your local laws
- Laws on buying, importing, owning and carrying knives, swords and axes are different in every country, and sometimes in every state or region.
- Before ordering, please check that the item is legal to import and own where you live. This is the customer's responsibility.
- Never carry a blade in public unless the law where you are allows it.
- We cannot refund orders that are seized, refused or returned by customs because the item is restricted in your country.
3. Lawful use only
Our products are sold for collecting, display, cosplay, cooking, outdoor and other lawful uses. They must never be used to threaten or harm any person or animal.
4. Handle with care
- Unless you requested a blunt edge, your blade arrives razor sharp. Unpack it carefully and keep your fingers away from the edge.
- Always cut away from your body, on a stable surface.
- Never try to catch a falling blade.
- Keep blades in their sheath or on a secure stand or wall mount when not in use.
- Store all blades out of reach of children and away from anyone who should not handle them.
5. Display safely
- Mount swords, axes and large blades securely, using fixings suitable for the weight and your wall type.
- Display pieces where they cannot be knocked or pulled down.
6. Prefer a blunt edge?
For display, cosplay or a home with children, we can make your blade blunt. Tap Add personalisation on the product page and write "blunt edge" before adding it to your cart.
7. Care and maintenance
- Hand wash only and dry straight away. Never use a dishwasher.
- Wipe on a light coat of oil to prevent rust, especially on carbon steel and Damascus.
- Do not store a blade inside a leather sheath for long periods, as leather can hold moisture.
- Natural handles such as antler, horn and wood should be kept out of water.
8. Responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Titans Edge is not responsible for injury, damage or legal consequences caused by misuse, careless handling, unsafe storage or failure to follow local laws. See our Terms of Service for full details.
